Leslie Spit
The Spit is open year-round every weekend, 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. from April – October and 9:00 – 4:30 p.m. from November to March. Park on Union or Leslie.
The park is located on a man-made peninsula, known as the Leslie Street Spit, which extends five km into Lake Ontario and is over 500 hectares in size.

Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens

The City recently renamed Rhododendron Gardens to Brueckner Rhododendron Garden in acknowledgement of the Dr. Joseph Brueckner’s generous donation of hundreds of rhododendrons and azaleas. They can be found blooming from mid May to mid June.

Kariya Park was officially opened in July 1992, honouring the eleventh anniversary of our twin-city relationship with Kariya, Japan. Queen Elizabeth Jubillee II Garden

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Garden is named after the commemoration of Her Majesty, The Queen’s 50th Anniversary of Her Accession to the Throne. The garden is used extensively by the public and city staff on a regular basis and is often a favourite location for wedding photographs. The addition of the entrance and stairs opens the garden up to Mississauga’s Celebration Square.

It has been in operation for over 30 years and is open to the public.Their services include the provision of ministers of various denominations to perform the ceremony.

Scarborough Bluffs
Bluffs stretch for about 15 km along the Lake Ontario shore, from the Eastern Beaches of Toronto in the west, to East Point Park in the east. The Scarborough Bluffs are a significant geological feature resulting from the accumulation of sedimentary deposits over 12,000 years ago. They were formed by the natural processes of wind and water erosion from Lake Ontario.
St James Park

Beside the beautiful St. James’ Cathedral, St. James’ Park features one of Toronto’s nicest gardens. Kept meticulously clean by the Toronto Garden Society, every time I visit I’m amazed how it’s changed from the previous time. The garden is always planted with fresh flowers, always immaculately cared for no matter the season. There are several benches to catch some afternoon sun, some sculptures, a fountain and a large gazebo with often holds outdoor concerts. It’s a great 19th century style garden oasis, and a highly recommended photo place (I actually just recommended it to friends who are getting married nearby next fall).
